Algorand Foundation Decides on India Partnership, CEO Meets Up With Hillary Clinton In Ahmedabad

Algorand Foundation has announced that they're partnering up with T-Hub, India's premier innovation hub which has several hundred partners, including famous companies like Microsoft, Intel, Boeing and Meta. This was originally reported in a press release on Tuesday, 7th of February.

Algorand is the first layer-1 blockchain to aggressively expand into the Indian market, as the South-Asian country is set to surpass China as the world's most populous country this year. 

Staci Warden, the CEO of Algorand Foundation, commented on the matter: "We're deeply committed to ensuring blockchain lives up to its potential in creating a more inclusive economy in India and across the globe".

Algorand Partners Up with The Clinton Foundation

Moreover, the Algorand Foundation has decided to act as a technology partner for a new $50 million Global Climate Resilience Fund, which was launched by the Clinton Foundation and its Clinton Global Initiative. The fund is geared towards helping women micro-entrepreneurs address climate change. 

SEWA acts as the foundation partner for this operation, and it's the largest trade union in India with over 2.1 million female workers.

While celebrating the news, Staci Warden met up with former U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, together with The Clinton Foundation in Ahmedabad.

ALGO Surges On The News

The price of Algorand surged over 7% in response to the news, trading at $0.277 USD per ALGO on Tuesday evening. With that, Algorand has again reached a total market cap of $2 Billion USD.

Algorand has increased more than 50% during the recent bull market, compared to the bottom that it reached in December of 2022.
